ULAN BATOR, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- A total of 10 more locally transmitted cases of COVID-19 were reported across Mongolia in the last 24 hours, taking its national tally to 1,536, the country's National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) said Tuesday.

"We conducted 17,646 tests for COVID-19 yesterday, and 10 of them were positive," Amarjargal Ambaselmaa, head of the NCCD's surveillance department, said during a press conference.

Meanwhile, 28 more patients have recovered from the disease, taking the total number of recoveries in the country to 994.

The Asian country has recorded two COVID-19-related deaths since confirming its first case of COVID-19 in March.
