LASHKAR GAH, Afghanistan, March 8 (Xinhua) -- At least 10 insurgents were confirmed dead as the security forces stormed Taliban hideouts in Garmsir, Nad Ali and Nahr-e-Saraj districts of southern Helmand province, said a statement from the provincial police headquarters on Monday.
Four more militants, according to the statement, were also injured.
There were no casualties on the side of security forces, the statement added.
The security forces would continue to target the insurgents elsewhere in Helmand and its vicinity, the statement said.
Taliban militants who are in control of parts of the restive and poppy growing Helmand province with Lashkar Gah as its capital haven't commented.
